Further Amendments to Regulation 182 under the Corporations Information Act

Further to the notice in March the MGCS is pleased to advise that Regulation 182 under the Corporations Information Act (CIA) has been amended to prescribe new requirments for filing the Corporations Information Act Annual Return (CIA AR), effective January 1, 2009. Acceptance of Various Forms under the Business Corporations Act

The Branch has extended the old transition date for acceptance of various forms under the BCA from February 4, 2008 to April 1, 2008. Effective April 1, 2008, previous versions of the following forms will no longer be accepted: - Form 1 - Articles of Incorporation - Form 4 - Articles of Amalgamation - Form 5 - Restated Articles of Incorporation - Form 6 - Articles of Continuance - Form 11 - Articles of Dissolution - Form 15 - Articles of Revival Click to view the Notice to Clients.

 

New Format of Newly Updated Automated Name Search (NUANS) Report

Effective January 28, 2008, the NUANS name search report will be produced in the new format. The Branch will continue to accept the previous version of the NUANS name search report until April 26, 2008. Click to view the Notice to Clients.

 

FRANK PVT - Public View Terminals are operational

The new FRANK Public View Terminals became operational June 23rd, 2008. Our staff has attended the training sessions held by the court and we are now providing litigation searches for both FRANK and SUSTAIN. Searches are required on both Sustain and Frank until further as there are case files on Sustain that were not properly imported into the Frank system. Acceptance of Declaration Limited Partnerships Act Form 3

Upcoming Changes to the Ontario Corporations Information Act Annual Return Filing Process

Form 3 Declaration under the Limited Partnerships Act and the Form 4 Power of Attorney/Consent to Act as Attorney is now available on-line

Effective January 3, 2007 the Declaration, Form 3, and Power of Attorney/Consent to Act as Attorney, Form 4 under the Limited Partnerships Act are available on the Companies and Personal Property Security Branch website. Notice from Corporations Canada regarding Federal Annual Returns
