Changes to Commercial List & Estate File copy procedures

The Commercial List and Estates court office at 330 University Avenue in Toronto no longer have access to current files and they have also removed the photocopier.  Copies of files are now produced by the court clerks.  Files have to be requested from the basement storage, which takes several hours.  Once it arrives we are contacted and return to the court to request the copies.  Depending on the number of copies required we may be asked to return to the court to pick them up once...

Tips & Reminders - Corporate Filings & Registrations

Corporate Article Filings Please include a cover letter addressed to the MGS with all Article filings. Post-dated Articles - clearly indicate in the cover letter as well as placing a post-it note with the date on the first page of the articles. Cheques must be provided for all post dated articles. Special Filing Order - provide written instructions in a memo and cover letter as well as a post-it note directly on the documents indicating the order.   Requesting Document Pick-Ups...

Copies of Articles - Microfiche Changes!

The Ontario Ministry of Government Services no longer provides the Corporate Microfiche which contains copies of  all corporate documents.  They now scan the documents internally and send them by email.  Due to this change and the very high volume of orders they receive, they are is experiencing delays.  Copies are now taking approximately 5 to 7 business days.  Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Certified PPSA Pick-up changes!

Effective October 10th, 2017 certified Personal Property Security Registration (PPSA) searches will be ready for pick-up by 10:00 a.m. the next business day. Verification statements will also be available for pick-up on the next business day by 2:30 p.m.
